These clip on earring converters are made of brass and are very simple to use. Simply slide the post into the top of tube and then gently bend the post forward so that the earring faces out. Have your wire cutters up as flush with the back of the earring as possible hold your breath and CUT.
I had no plan going into it but it proved to be pretty easy in most cases I just gave them a hard twist with my fingers or a yank with the pliers and they popped right off.
